Entry #2: Wine Bottles & Swords

Starting off lesson 2 of 3D Modelling we was taught how to make a Wine Bottle using the Extrude tool and then cutting it in half to make it look like a broken bottle on a floor. We then went on to create a Sword using the same method and learning new functions along the way like "Cut, Slice Grow, Symmetry, Bridge and Flip." The majority of these function I have used before in Maya but I'm still finding it a little hard to adjust to the different layout that 3DSMax has and due to not having the key bindings I have available at home I keep pressing keys by accident which will end up me messing something or changing the view point and me having to sort it out before I can continue, this will stop happening overtime as this is only the second week of using Max as I do not want to give up on Max knowing that have skills in both Maya and 3DSMax will get me far in the Gaming Industry.

I have a general idea of what my 3D Interior Space will look like and have tried to draw a few things out myself but they're not the best of drawings. I also have looked on the internet for some pictures I can make references too and that have inspired me to add more unique designs to my 3D Space. I will make a moodboard out of the pictures soon and post them up in next weeks blog.

That's all for this week.
